Coconut oil is currently considered a popular treatment for skin problems. With antibacterial, antifungal and easy to make or buy properties, coconut oil is even more popular. Many people have tried and believed that feeding a dog or applying coconut oil can ease the symptoms and improve the appearance of the dog's fur.
Method 1. Feed your dog coconut oil
1. Choose a coconut oil.
Because coconut oil is used for dogs to drink, you should choose high quality, so choose organic coconut oil. Avoid refined, bleached and deodorized coconut oils because the treatment will destroy the nutrients. [2]
2. Usage and dosage.
You give your dog 1 teaspoon (4 g) of coconut oil per 4.5 kg of weight for the first few days, then increase gradually. In the first 1-2 days, you only use 1/4 of the above dose to the dog's digestive system to adapt, then increase the amount.

For example, if your dog weighs 9 kg, take 1-2 teaspoons (2 g) of coconut oil for the first 1-2 days, then gradually increase to 2 tablespoons (8 g)
3. Balance the amount of omega-3 oils in your dog's diet.
Coconut oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, so you need to calculate your dog's diet when giving them coconut oil. If you are taking supplements that already contain omega-3 fatty acids, then you should use them alternately, not at the same time.
An excess of omega-3s can lead to digestive problems, blood clots (blood clots) and insulin resistance. [4]
4. Consult your doctor about prolonged use of coconut oil.

Advice
